Tips[]
- The Evolver node can only upgrade or develop one program at a time. When the node is upgrading, it cannot develop or upgrade new programs, and vice versa.
- In early levels, the Evolver can be a very efficient choke point, as it is the node with the lowest firewall in the game early on. It can be recaptured very quickly with 2 Turrets with antivirus, and attackers will be forced to react quickly and install ICE Walls repeatedly, and only 2 offensive programs, as the Evolver only has 3 slots. Later in the game, low level Sentries and Scanners become more effective at this job.
- Upgrading your Nodes and Programs also increases your experience and thus your level.
- Program development is subject to a hierarchy tree. When two branches converge, both paths must be completed to unlock the next program. For example, one must develop both Blaster and Worms before one can develop the Battering Ram.
